Or you can plug HUSH-X into a standard guitar amp and play "passively" indefinitely. Sound possibilities Donner HUSH-X can do the same things as a standard electric guitar. You have a humbucker pickup in the bridge position and a single-coil pickup in the neck position. You have a three-way pickup selector, along with volume and tone controls - just like on a regular electric guitar. If you're using the HUSH-X as a dedicated travel guitar, you can choose to play with headphones connected to the guitar's built-in amplifier, and you'll get a great electric guitar sound that you'd recognize from a regular electric guitar. In this situation, you need to play in 'active' mode, which is powered by a 9V battery. A regular 9V battery can provide power for this for up to 50 hours. Ergonomics and playability The HUSH-X is lightweight and takes up no space when packed in the gig bag. When you're done playing, you can easily remove the "brackets" again, and the HUSH-X is ready to be packed into your bag or placed on the luggage rack above your airplane seat. The headless design that makes the guitar so extremely compact also means that you have to tune the guitar strings on the bridge. This is as easy as you're used to on a regular electric guitar and just a habit that needs to be changed. The guitar strings can be tuned as you are used to, and you can adjust the string height, also as you are used to. This can be done with the included tool, which is conveniently located in a small pocket on the back of the guitar. That's also where you'll find the guitar battery.
