The A8H consists of an 8-inch Multi-Layer Mineral (MLM) woofer, an innovative midrange driver and ADAM Audio's handcrafted precision X-ART tweeter, which together produce an ultra-wide frequency response. Like the other members of the A Series, the A8H gives you enormous flexibility to fine-tune the sound through the rotatable HPS waveguide and the built-in DSP. The A8H is the final piece of the puzzle in a complete range of studio monitors and is ideal for medium to full-sized studios. Rotatable HPS Waveguide & X-ART tweeter Easily rotatable if you want your monitor standing or lying down The A Series HPS Waveguide is made of a new "fiberglass polymer" mixture that helps create a crystal clear sound, free of unwanted resonance and distortion. Handmade in Germany, the ADAM Audio X-ART tweeter provides a precise transient response and reproduces all the details such as reverb tails with bravura. This X-ART tweeter is used in all A Series speakers Multi-Layer Mineral woofers A Series woofers are constructed with a unique blend of mineral stone fibers that have been put together to create a lightweight but very stable and robust material. The mineral composition, layering and geometry of each cone is specific to the amplifier used in each model. By combining this material with a new magnet system, the A-Series woofers produce high power with low distortion, resulting in clean and crisp bass reproduction Hybrid amplification The A-Series combines the best of both the digital and analog worlds. The bass speakers are powered by Class D amplifiers that help produce a linear performance, while reducing distortion. These amplifiers were specifically chosen for their power and efficiency, both in terms of energy consumption and sound reproduction. The tweeters and midrange are driven by Class AB amplifiers that offer a smooth, natural reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is optimized for its frequency range, resulting in a properly calibrated speaker. To achieve this unique performance, ADAM Audio conducted extensive measurements and listening sessions and tested countless amplifiers and amplifier components. Room correction & Sonarworks integration The A Series speakers are designed to adapt to different requirements, preferences and environments. Using A Control software, you can import advanced filters and settings directly into the monitors' embedded DSP platform to correct for imperfect room acoustics. The embedded platform supports filters from industry-leading Sonarworks. Using Sonarworks software and a measurement microphone and computer, you can calibrate your speakers to fit your studio environment. The settings are then transferred to the A Series speakers using the A control software.
